First Lady Melania Trump said in a rare on-camera interview with ABC that women accusing men of sexual misconduct need “hard evidence.”

Tom Llamas on “Good Morning America” asked Mrs. Trump if she supports women and the #MeToo movement.

“I support the women, and they need to be heard. We need to support them,” Mrs. Trump replied. “And, you know, also men. Not just women.”

When asked if men who have been accused of misconduct have been treated unfairly, Mrs. Trump said, “We need to have really hard evidence, you know, that if you are accused of something, show the evidence.”

“I do stand with women but we need to show the evidence,” she continued. “You cannot just say to somebody, ‘I was sexually assaulted’ or ‘you did that to me’ because sometimes the media goes too far and the way they portray some stories — it’s not correct, it’s just not right.”
