We Asked People What They Thought Of A Georgetown Building Right Near Potential Slave Remains

Reporters from The Daily Caller News Foundation hit the streets in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday to ask people what they thought of Georgetown University building a dorm right near potential slave remains.

The responses varied, with one Georgetown student calling for segregation, suggesting that an entire floor of the dorm should be “African American-based.” Another person said the university should get rid of the dorm altogether.

The majority of folks agreed that there wasn’t a clear answer to the messy situation. The consensus was that there should be a memorial dedicated to the slaves who were sold to save the academic institution. (RELATED: Georgetown Prof Bashes Trump As ‘Fleshly Thesaurus Of White Supremacy’ [VIDEO])

The story originated when a  femur — believed to have belonged to a slave — was found during construction of a campus dorm in 2014. The university received scrutiny for keeping quiet about it, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“They haven’t done enough at all. It’s been three years, they still haven’t done nothing. There’s no markers,” said a Georgetown student, according to TheDCNF.
